Bringing You May Flowers! May 2020 Newsletter

As the weeks progress, and Shelter in Place is extended for another month, I am doing my best to ensure my clients have as much information, and are as informed as possible.

We have received many questions as to where the market is going, and if we can expect a recession. Is this a recession? Are we going to experience another housing market crash?

We think not!

Below are several charts showing the market fluctuations since 1987. In these charts we see an EXTREME dip in home prices and percentage rates during the 2008-2009 recession. Although we experienced a severe market drop at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak and SIP, the drop is nowhere near the lows of the 2008 housing recession.

Although these are unprecedented times, we are seeing strength being put back in the market, with much more momentum towards steady increases and growth.

First of all, we hope this message finds you safe and well! For those who don't know, I am a co-founder of the San Mateo and Peninsula Mompreneurs Group on Facebook.

With Mother’s Day around the corner, we have been thinking about all of our amazing local mamas- especially those who are in need!

We want to do something special- but we need your help. We are looking for nominees of local moms in need (Specifically on The Peninsula), and we ask that you send us your nominations for the special mamas in your life who are in need, and we will donate a gift (total number of donations TBD).

We will be accepting nominations from now, until Sunday, May 3 at 6:00pm. Please email your nomination letters to olivia@mcnallyandassociates.com.

In your letter, please include the name and address of who you are nominating (we ensure ALL information is secure and will be kept completely confidential), and we will either drop off (safely of course) or mail a special gift to the winning moms in need. We are still here working hard for YOU

Here is how we are being here for our clients, while also staying compliant:

1. Virtual Meetings - We are hosting virtual buyer consultations and listing appointments via Zoom. This allows us to be "face-to-face," while also maintaining a safe physical distance.

2. Virtual Home Tours - Have a home to sell or want to buy? We are offering virtual showings and home tours so you can still tour the properties you love.

3. Interactive Video Showings - We can take buyers on a virtual journey through a home with sight, sound, and motion. Get all of your questions answered in real-time, just like an in-person Open House!

4. Virtual Neighborhood Walks - Take a tour of the neighborhood with virtual neighborhood walks so you can get a 360 degree neighborhood video showcase.

3. Live streams - We are doing Live streams on our Social Media platforms with different guest speakers, so you can ask questions and stay informed during these unprecedented times.
