Fall is officially here!

For me, Fall is the brief moment right after the warmth of
summer, the air turns crisp, and we can enjoy a few weeks of peace before the
craziness of the Holiday season.
Although the holidays will be very different this year, I still like to do a few things to get myself in the fall spirit. Here are some wonderful fall home maintenance tips to get your home ready for the holidays and winter months.
1. The rainy season is upon us, and this is a good time to clean your gutters, check for any leaks/breakage, and inspect your roof for any potential leaks. If you suspect any potential issues with your roof or gutters, now is the time to have a professional do an inspection, and do any necessary repairs.
2. Check for drafts. Save yourself some extra change on the heating bill by ensuring all doors and windows are sealed properly. If you feel any air sneaking through the outer edges, it is time to do some weather-stripping to ensure the exterior of doors and windows are sealed.

3. Clean or replace filters in your furnace or heating system. Ideally, this should be done once a month, or once every two months, but best to make sure the filter is clean before the chilly winder months.

4. Check your Batteries! If you have not done so yet this year, check the batteries on your Carbon Monoxide, and Smoke Detectors. Both can save lives!
Home maintenance is important all year round, but I hope these few fall
maintenance tips help you prepare for the seasons ahead.
