Halloween Newsletter and Market Recap

Wishing you a Safe, and SPOOK-tacular Halloween!

Before you head out the door (or stay in), McNally and Associates wanted to make sure you've got your last-minute Halloween checklist squared away! Here are some last-minute "Tricks" and "Treats" for your Halloween adventure!

  • Candies: You would not want to come across as miser on Halloween. Keep enough candies and chocolates for handout. So, see to it you have enough in stock. Personalize these goodies by wrapping them in DIY crafted wrappers.
  • Bag: If you have kids, then arrange a big bag to each, so that they do not have to stash candies in pockets. Make sure that this bag does not have any holes in it.
  • Flashlight: As it is not until evening when children start to scoot in neighborhood for treats, carrying a flashlight is important. Do not forget to carry one. Ready the back, costume and flashlight for safety and convenience.
  • Napkins/WetWipe: Many plan to devour treats before reaching home. It will get sticky, wiping hands on costumes after gobbling down few treats. Therefore, it is better that you carry a napkin or wet wipe along, tuck in your bag to keep hands clean.
  • Hydrating Liquid: While mimicking a zombie can be fun, it is certainly not nice to dehydrate oneself like a crazy ghost on this occasion. Carry a bottle of water, juice of simply some hydrating liquid to quench your thirst on this adventurous evening.

Halloween may be scary...but buying or selling a home doesn't have to be! If you have any additional questions about Real Estate please let us know! We would love to help you achieve your real estate goals!

DID YOU KNOW?

DID YOU KNOW? More than 25 million people in California are under red flag warnings as firefighters continue to battle blazes throughout the state. The10 active wildfires, including the Kincade Fire, Tick Fire, and Getty Fire, have caused thousands of evacuations and power outages. The Kincade Fire had blackened over 74,000 acres across parts of Sonoma County’s picturesque wine country, destroying around 100 homes and other structures. In Los Angeles, the Getty Fire had charred more than 600 acres in the hills around Interstate 405, near some of the city’s most expensive homes, by mid-afternoon, destroying eight structures and damaging five others. DID YOU KNOW? More than 18,700 hotel rooms across 112 new developments are under construction or being planned in the five boroughs of New York, according to NYC & Company.

DID YOU KNOW? The once-popular Home equity line of credit loan Americans use to finance home renovations and college tuition is slowly dying, slashing a lucrative source of revenue for the nation’s largest banks. Rapidly climbing property prices between 2003-6 led homeowners to use their homes as piggy banks, fueling consumer spending. (Bloomberg)

DID YOU KNOW? Lenders extended $700 billion of home loans in the July-to-September quarter, the most in 14 years. A decline in mortgage rates often takes longer to boost home purchases than refinancing because people need to shop for a home first. (WSJ)
